Licensed in Florida and Tennessee
Individual and relationship counseling and coaching.
I have over thirty years experience helping individuals and couples. I have worked in inpatient and outpatient mental health and addiction treatment settings as well as training and supervising other therapists. I have a Masters Degree in Social Work, a Masters Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in healthcare management, and a Doctorate of Philosophy Degree in Clinical Sexology. I am a licensed clinical social worker in the states of TN and FL. I am a nationally certified sex therapist by the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists.
I use treatment interventions that are evidence based and consistent with best practice guidelines established by the American Psychiatric Association. I utilize the methods that can best help the individual client achieve their goal. Psychotherapy should never be a one-size-fits-all model. Each problem is unique and the big picture must be considered with every client. I help clients achieve the outcomes they are seeking and I advise clients of potential risks when they exists. I respect the religious beliefs, including non-belief, of all my clients and will do my best to work within your value and belief systems. However, though I understand the value of spiritual concepts, please know I work from a secular model. If you are specifically seeking religious counseling, please consult a leader in your faith community for an appropriate referral.
As a specialist in sexology I am trained and experienced in treating sexual problems. I understand the complexities of human sexuality and the broad spectrum of sexual behaviors and desires. We each have a unique erotic template which shapes our desires, behaviors, and the relationships we find most fulfilling. I help clients understand their sexual authenticity, thereby finding sexual integrity individually and in relationships with others.
